Fremont- James Spicer Bradshaw, 73 of 500 South Hillandale Drive passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at N.C. Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mr. Bradshaw was born in Wayne County on August 24, 1938 to the late Willie Spicer and Ida Webb Bradshaw. He attended Fremont Missionary Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the Fremont Volunteer Fire & Rescue for over 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Bradshaw; his son, Robert Bradshaw and wife, Renee of Fremont; two daughters, Melinda Bradshaw Wilkerson and husband, Donnie of Fremont and Jennifer Bradshaw Clegg and husband, Alan of Apex; his step-mother, Catherine Bradshaw of Fremont; two step-sons, Jimmy Richardson and Eddie Richardson of Florence, SC.; two brothers, Larry Bradshaw of Fremont and Eric Bradshaw and wife, Jennifer of Fremont; two step-sisters, Linda (Gail) Sorrells and husband, Dwight of Pine Level and Phyllis Pender of Fremont; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 27, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont and other times at the residence.
